Electrical Safety (LVD)

“safety first!”

The European Low Voltage Directive (LVD) 2014/35/EU applies to a major part of electronic and electrotechnical products which are made available on the Europan Union market. The main objective of the LVD is to permit the free movement of products within the internal market whilst ensuring a high level of protection of health and safety.

Amongst others, the services of Laboratoria De Nayer cover the legally required safety assessments for mainly ITE equipment, which is covered by the BELAC accreditation (041-TEST). A typical assessment is related to physical testing and possibly thermal preconditioning of your product, for which the lab facilities provide the necessary accurate equipment. The assessment is also associated with an in-depth analysis of your product, which requires insight in your product design. Our experienced staff will guide you throughout this process.
